Holiday Things To Do In Princeton

The holiday season is a special time of the year when many of us are busy shopping and making plans for getting together with loved ones. During this busy season with so much to do, it’s always a good idea to take a break from the hustle and bustle and go out and have some fun. Here are a few fun Princeton holiday events we’d like to share with you.
Holiday Trolley Tour
From Nov 28 – Dec 26, the Princeton Tour Company is sponsoring the Holiday Trolley Tour. These one-hour tours begin in downtown Palmer Square and take you where walking tours cannot. You can see the homes and hangouts of many famous people including Albert Einstein, F Scott Fitzgerald, JFK, John Adams and more. The tours cost $15 per person. Enjoy A Christmas Carol at the McCarter Theater
From December 4 – December 27, the McCarter Theater is presenting Charles Dickens’ beloved A Christmas Carol. Take the whole family along to enjoy all the magic of the holiday season as you watch Scrooge’s journey through past, present and future as he discovers the true meaning of Christmas. The Holidays at Drumthwacket
From Dec 2 – Dec 16 recurring weekly on Sunday and Wednesday, the Drumthwacket Foundation is partnering with the New Jersey Garden Club and Garden Club of America to present ‘The Holidays at Drumthwacket’, this year’s holiday decor theme for ‘Drumthwacket,’ the Governor’s residence in Princeton. You can take a guided tour of the governor’s home in all its majestic glory, decked out in high style for the festive holiday season. Admission is free and reservations can be made here.
Santa’s Helpers Strolling Tour
From December 5 – December 19, the Princeton Tour Company is hosting a family-friendly strolling tour designed for young children. This one-hour route is guided by Santa’s favorite ambassadors who tell stories about Santa, Mrs. Claus, the reindeer and more. Admission is $5 per person and the tours are recurring weekly on Saturdays from 11:30am to 12:30pm and from 1pm – 2pm. The strolls start in Palmer Square.
Holiday POPS! Wonderlands Concert
Because the holidays just wouldn’t be complete without some great holiday music, consider taking your family to the Princeton Symphony Orchestra’s Holiday POPS! Wonderlands Concert on Saturday, December 19 at 4pm at Richardson Auditorium. Joining the symphony is the Princeton High School Choir and musicians from the Trenton Music School. Admission is $40 for adults and $25 for students. You can visit this site to purchase tickets.
